8 year old Inhibited Autistic Boy with Dyslexia Gains Social Skills and Acquired Multiple Learning Abilities

Josiah was diagnosed with moderate autism, dyslexia and mild intellectual disability.

He was 8 when he first started training with NeuroLAT. He suffered from a severe speech delay and was unable to verbalize any words audibly. He also had trouble putting together both visual and audio information received. Having poor executive functioning abilities, he is often unable to engage in appropriate motor responses or suppress inappropriate actions, in any given social context.

Within 4 months of using the online learning abilities training program, I noticed that his focus and memory abilities were visibly enhanced! His word recognition and typing skills improved considerably after 3 months. He became more attentive and was able to understand and complete the questions by following the audio instructions in the daily online training! In the beginning, we had to start him off on the cognitive level of a 3- year-old and he has progressed to attempting the questions of cognitive level of a 6- year-old within a few short months.

Most importantly, his self-esteem has greatly improved because he is often praised for his good behaviour. After 2 years on the program, he has now become comfortable with being around people outside of his own family and is even seeking them out to interact with. As a mother, I could not be happier with his progress!

26-year-old young man with ASD improved in executive functioning skills and understands things very quickly with heightened mental alertness and concentration.

John has been diagnosed with autism since young. He has a deficit in expressive communication, so he tends to give single-word answers.

He is 26 years old this year and we started on the NeuroLAT program 6 months ago. He commits himself to do the NeuroLAT training every day, even when we were on holiday. He has made this a part of his daily routine and wants to finish the whole exercise from start to end so that he can move on to the other items in his mental checklist of things to do. Because of this consistency, we have seen good progress in his executive functioning abilities.

After 6 months of training, John can now speak short sentences like “I am hungry” and “need to go now”. Recently when we were fetching our friends from the airport to their apartment, he repeatedly reminded them to not forget to take their belongings from the car by repeating “luggage bag” a few times to them. He can also remember items on the shopping list that I have asked him to remind me to buy when I get to the supermarket.

John’s skills have improved a lot over the past few months and he is more able to stay focused on tasks for longer periods. NeuroLAT has helped him to be mentally alert – he understands things very quickly now.

We are happy with the progress that Jonathan has made so far in the program and we are glad that he is willing to devote himself to his training daily.

AWWA Student Diagnosed with Autism and Prone To Meltdowns, Gains Confidence and Learned To Persevere When Faced With Difficult Questions

Tim was diagnosed with ASD when he was 6 years old and started attended AWWA School since he was 7 years old. Since he was a toddler, I noticed that Tim has poor memory, was unable to complete a task when more than 2 instructions are given and cannot focus on his studies.

Tim could not understand the concept of addition and subtraction and often gets frustrated with himself for not being able to answer the questions correctly. That is why whenever he encounters a difficult problem, he refuses to do it and sometimes have meltdowns because he lacks self-confidence and is afraid of getting the answer wrong.

After 6 months of training, Tim has improved in his ability to focus, listen, understand concepts and in his short-term working memory. He has also learnt to persevere when the questions gets more difficult and not give up immediately. In the past he was only able to read a few words. All of a sudden, after doing the NeuroLAT training for 6 months, he can read 1 to 2 books a day without anyone forcing him!

His teacher mentioned that he can now do more complex Math questions in class, requiring concepts which his teachers have not taught him yet. Tim has also become a voracious reader, reading more than his teachers require him to! He has really improved a lot this year, much to our happy amazement.

P4 Student with Autism Developed New Abilities with Enhanced Focus and Concentration

Ragnar was diagnosed with mild Autism. He was unable to understand mathematical concepts, especially symmetry in school and often failed his Mathematics exams. No matter how much tuition he had or how much his parents tried to teach him, he could not grasp arithmetic concepts.

After 1.5 months, Ragnar improved from 47% in his term 1 Math Paper to 73% in his Semester 1 Math Paper. His Science also improved. One significant behavioral change was he was able to sit still and maintain his attention longer on his schoolwork, as well as concentrate in class. This was what he couldn’t do so before embarking on NeuroLAT.

Within 7 months of doing his daily NeuroLAT lessons conscientiously, Ragnar showed marked improvement in his Mathematics, Science and English exams, and was moved to Band 1 in both his Mathematics and Science classes. He was even selected to become a School Prefect in Primary 5!

Student with Autism Improved Evidently in Learning Abilities and Speed of Mental Processing

Daxx was diagnosed with Autism at 4 years old. He was not very verbal when he was younger. He attended pre-nursery, kindergarten, Kits4Kids during his younger years and when reached 8 years old, he was not selected to be admitted to Pathlight School but was offered a place at Eden School. Daxx exhibited stronger behavioral issues when he reached puberty around 12-years old, such as anxieties with aggression and impulsivity. At times when he gets angry, he starts to throw remote control, iPad, phone & anything he can get his hands on to express his frustration.

When he was 13, I found out about the NeuroLAT program from a friend and started him on it. In the first 2 years, there seems to be little improvement in his learning abilities. It was in the third year that I began to notice significant improvement in him!

I started him on learning how to play the piano with a private tutor and he progressed so fast that even when I was with him throughout the piano lesson, I could not remember the notes! He can now read musical notes and play on his own after only a few lessons. He also picked up swimming and can now swim freestyle perfectly! During the Covid lockdown months in 2020, Daxx also started to learn how to cycle and now enjoys going on cycling trips with me and his best friend’s family during the weekends.

Daxx is still on the NeuroLAT program. He works on the program independently once or twice a day during week days and 2-3 times a day during school holidays. The NeuroLAT program has a way of training the brain and I believe this is what the program is meant to do. I am so happy that my son can now think faster and complete questions sooner than I can!

13 year old Boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder Gained Audio Memory Skills to Respond to Instructions and Play the Piano

Joshua was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and was unable to receive instructions (especially audio instructions) in class. At 13 years old, he had difficulty memorizing words, numbers and pictures. When he plays the piano, it would just be a noisy cacophony of sounds.

Just 6 months into the NeuroLAT program, he was able to understand audio instructions and to act accordingly. His teachers reported that he can now memorize more words, numbers and pictures in class. He was even able to commit songs to memory and play the piano by ear!

Joshua’s mother is delighted that the online cognitive training has also helped him to analyze patterns and complete his Math homework much faster.

Youth with Learning Disabilities and Suspected Dysgraphia Improved Academically

Justin comes from a family of 14 children and his Mum (Joanna) home schools all 14 of them.

She noticed that Justin was slower than his siblings in reading and had difficulty recognizing words. He had problems with note taking and was unable to take down full sentences. He could only do so painstakingly word by word. He was also unable to relate events chronologically but would reverse the order of events often. Much to the chagrin of his Mum who is home-schooling him.

Reading was such a challenge for Justin because he takes such a long time to read the words. Even after being able to read the words, he could not understand what he read nor was he able to organize his thoughts. He also experienced difficulty with creative writing, simple calculations & all problem-solving questions. School was always a struggle for Justin and he finished high school late.

Within 3 months, Justin was able to copy full sentences instead of just one word by one word. He was also able to remember longer portions of text and his reading speed dramatically improved after 6 months of consistent training daily.

Joanna observed that Justin now has improved memory, better concentration and can relate events in the right chronological order. She is also very happy to report marked improvement in his spatial, Math and calculation abilities.

Cognitive and Behavioral Breakthroughs experienced by 20-year old youth with Moderate Autism after just 10 days of Training

Teik Wah was diagnosed with moderate autism and was non-verbal from birth. At age 7, he suddenly decided that he did not want to swallow his saliva and started spitting everywhere. He also exhibited other anti-social behavior like playing with his urine and aggressively grabbing people’s phone without asking because of a lack of executive functioning skills that include proficiency in adaptable thinking, planning, self-monitoring, self-control, working memory, time management, and organization.

After just 10 days of online cognitive training, he stopped spitting everywhere and started to swallow his saliva. He also stopped playing with his urine and improved his social skills. From being a very introverted person to keep to his room all the time, he began to seek out his Father and Brother to watch TV together after dinner. Teik Wah loves routine and trains consistently every day.

By the ninth month, he started to learn the piano and progressed from Grade 1 to Grade 2 within 1 year. He passed his Grade 5 theory exams in May 2019 and conducted piano recitals in various community settings in Malaysia.
