Tim was diagnosed with ASD when he was 6 years old and started attended AWWA School since he was 7 years old. Since he was a toddler, I noticed that Tim has poor memory, was unable to complete a task when more than 2 instructions are given and cannot focus on his studies.
Tim could not understand the concept of addition and subtraction and often gets frustrated with himself for not being able to answer the questions correctly. That is why whenever he encounters a difficult problem, he refuses to do it and sometimes have meltdowns because he lacks self-confidence and is afraid of getting the answer wrong.
After 6 months of training, Tim has improved in his ability to focus, listen, understand concepts and in his short-term working memory. He has also learnt to persevere when the questions gets more difficult and not give up immediately. In the past he was only able to read a few words. All of a sudden, after doing the NeuroLAT training for 6 months, he can read 1 to 2 books a day without anyone forcing him!
His teacher mentioned that he can now do more complex Math questions in class, requiring concepts which his teachers have not taught him yet. Tim has also become a voracious reader, reading more than his teachers require him to! He has really improved a lot this year, much to our happy amazement.
