“As the primary school curriculum progressed from P2 to P3, Bryan exhibited struggles in areas of
attention to details, question interpretation, memory retention, numeracy relationship, logical
application of concepts and being focused on tasks for sustained periods.
These challenges proved daunting on Bryan's confidence and emotional well-being where academic matters are concerned. This led to bouts of procrastination and the inevitable lectures by us especially when guesswork became habitual.
Logical analysis and interpretation of questions required re-introduction of concepts in bite-size for easy
understanding and application for a kinaesthetic learner like him. And for Bryan, the key to retention is
repetitive reinforcement of bite size concepts.
We took up the NeuroLAT training programme as a complementary education tool to reinforce visual,
auditory, sequencing, logic and memory aspects after observing Bryan's struggles and borderline midyear weighted assessments.
Naturally, as an additional tool to his daily school work, assessment books and past year papers, the first 6 months of his NeuroLAT journey is not without sweat, tears and emotional breakdowns. While
challenging, we accompanied him daily and spurred him on to persevere with the training with much regimentation.
By combining a strict regime of NeuroLAT training (6 months) and a mother's love (dedicated time and efforts to customise and curate bite-size school curriculum concepts) one month before Bryan's first big exam in P3, we saw results reflective of Bryan's dedication, with an average of 80% across his subjects.”
